I have been interested in photography for a long time and have attended several workshops. Still full of experiences, I would state that this one gave me perhaps the most. Marián showed us step by step his techniques of landscape photography and the subsequent graphic editing of the photos, which opened a new perspective on photographic creation. Marian’s lessons are an incredible value for anyone who is interested in landscape photography and wants to improve their photography skills as well as their editing skills.

I attended the Winter Krivan workshop and I am very satisfied. The workshop included both practical photography and a lot of theory and detailed demonstrations of the post-process. Marian’s approach was very professional and honest and you can see that he does it with love and enthusiasm. And when the weather is good and you meet a good group of people – we got lucky with both of them🙂 – that’s the icing on the cake. I recommend it and I will definitely attend some more events👍

The Winter Krivan workshop with Marian Kuric had everything a good workshop should have. 100% time used for photography and theory. Professional approach and super group 🙂 From my side maximum satisfaction so I highly recommend to all who want to improve their photography 👍

I am a complete beginner in photography. I was worried about how I was going to understand all the theory and practice that Marian was offering. However, my fears passed as soon as I arrived in the Tatras. Marian conducted the workshop in a very professional and at the same time very human way. I felt very comfortable, I learned a lot, despite my gaps. We met a good group of people, the weather was good, the program was full, no time for boredom. It was fascinating for me to watch a professional create and edit photographs. I am very satisfied, the workshop definitely opened my horizons. The beautiful photos you took are just a bonus :) I recommend it to any photographer who wants to learn something new, no matter how much experience they have.

Marián and We attended several workshops in different countries. However, when I went to the first photo workshop, he had no expectations and it turned out excellent. Since then, I always look forward to what we will experience. And in a few days we are going to discover the beauty of the Slovenian landscape again and I believe that we will return there again 😁. Marián is a person with a big heart. Don’t be surprised if he starts howling with joy in the morning at a beautiful sunrise. Every photo workshop we will experience unforgettable experiences and at the same time we will always learn something new. Marián is a fantastic lecturer, he knows how to provide various information so that everyone understands it as needed. If you hesitated about a photo workshop with Marián, don’t hesitate.

Hello, after processing all emotions and “cooling down” my head, I will allow myself to summarize and evaluate my view of our time spent together. 21-23.1.22 I participated in the “Kriváň” Workshop. From the first moment we met, the whole thing took place in a very pleasant, family atmosphere and with an attitude that is really not commonly seen today. Marian is a great lecturer and in every way a professional in the right place. He also went through the basics with us, from planning itself, preparation, choosing a photo location, looking for compositions,… well, just absolutely everything, so that the expected result was as good as possible. He devoted himself as much as possible to each one of us and always explained what anyone needed and wanted to know. We also went through all the editing procedures from developing, through merging to advanced editing and even a complete layman in Photoshop editing like myself, on Sunday I felt like I learned an incredible amount and understood the things and principles that I years went by and I didn’t understand “what, how and why”. Direct demonstrations of editing his photos together with step-by-step explanations and a demonstration of his “know-how” in editing and everything step-by-step documented in perfectly processed scripts was just the icing on the cake and the team is not done yet. Communication and possible help even after finishing and going home is a bonus that I didn’t even expect. If anyone is thinking about a photo workshop and a shift in landscape photography, I recommend the one at Marian’s to all ten people and I have no doubt that you will have the same feelings after the end as I have now. I met a perfect group of people with the same photodiagnosis there, and I believe that we will meet again. Marian, thanks once again for everything and I hope to see you again somewhere soon…

How do I evaluate Marián’s landscape workshop with the passage of time? Very positively. This positivity doesn’t stem solely from his ability to explore the Kysucko/Orava region but also from his mastery of his craft. Moreover, his approachable demeanor and sense of humor added to the experience. During the workshop, Marián not only demonstrated the post-processing techniques for his published photos but also delved into freshly captured material. He showcased various editing methods, including Time Blending, Focus Stacking, Night Long-Exposure, and more. Additionally, he emphasized that the success of a photograph depends only 25% on the quality of post-processing. The remaining percentages are influenced by factors such as conditions, composition, and planning, among others. He had no qualms about explaining this directly in the field. In summary, whether you’re a beginner, an advanced enthusiast, or even a professional photographer, I urge you not to hesitate and register for Marián’s workshop on the next available date. I believe you will not only gain a wealth of new knowledge and insights but also have the opportunity to meet wonderful individuals who share your passion. Last but not least (I am absolutely certain), you’ll be inspired to click your camera’s shutter more frequently because Marián excels not only as an instructor but also as a facilitator of exceptional photographic conditions. So, go ahead, sign up, educate yourself, and share your undoubtedly positive impressions from the workshop.

I highly recommend the Marianov Workshop to anyone interested in photography, as well as the process of creating a photograph. This workshop will not only teach you how to capture images but also how to plan the entire process, including when and where you need to be prepared. The planning process is straightforward, and you’ll receive step-by-step guidance on what to consider. You will walk through the entire workflow, from inserting the memory card into the PC to the final mouse click that prepares your work for submission. Personally, I greatly enjoyed the creative aspects, both during photography and in the subsequent editing stages. You’ll have the opportunity to experience it all alongside a fantastic group of like-minded individuals who share the same passion as you do. This makes for an unforgettable couple of days filled with valuable experiences🙂 , saving you time that you might otherwise spend learning through trial and error.

I wanted to move a little further in photography and looking at photography as such, that’s why I wanted to attend the autumn Ždiar workshop with Marian. So I wasn’t “only” interested in taking photos in nice places, but mainly about finding out how a professional photographer does it and what it takes to take a nice photo. And my feeling about this event? In one word, great… I’m sure I won’t become a great photographer right away, but I learned a lot of things that I either didn’t do, did half-heartedly, or did wrong, which is what I came here for. What also impressed me was how Marian was able to solve “his problems” individually with everyone, so you really don’t need to be a skilled photographer to take part in the workshop. Marian, once again for your time, your help and your great attitude. It was a great event, a great group of people gathered, and I believe we will see each other at another event. All the best!

I also agree with the previous comment from Peter H. I have been following Marián’s work and its progress for a long time, which is also why I decided to participate in the Autumn Workshop (WS) in Ždiar, originally planned for spring 2020. I can only confirm that it was a great 3 days fully dedicated to the magic of landscape photography, starting with choosing the location, the right time, place and composition. By choosing a suitable lens and foci, the process of taking pictures, up to more advanced techniques for editing photos of day and night landscapes. For me, as an absolute self-taught and beginner who read everything about photography that I could get my hands on, WS was finally the real deal. Thank you, Marián Kuric, for the unique combination of professionalism and completely normal human approach, your openness and willingness to share the post-process procedures directly during WS for many of your well-known photos.
I am looking forward to one of your next workshops.
Kamil Klein
The workshop was absolutely great. Marian has a great eye for composition and great skills in Photoshop. He knows how to present these skills very well and simply to the participants of the workshop. Everyone will find something for themselves at Marian’s workshops. Whether you are looking for a new perspective on the world of photography or to learn something new in photo editing. I certainly found mine at his workshop in Zdiari. Great location, interesting view of photo editing and its workflow and also super relaxing 😉
Tomáš
I took part in the workshop “Zdiar” and I must say that it was the best spent 3 days of my photo life. I was very surprised by Mariano’s approach and his willingness to share his knowledge, which is really not uncommon these days. He willingly answered all questions about the locations where he took his photos, the process of taking them, or the post-process, and not only about the photos that I have chosen for teaching as part of the workshop, but about any photo from his portfolio. Beautiful locations for photography plus a large amount of information regarding the post-process and the procedure for taking photos on location. I definitely recommend it to anyone who at least enjoys taking pictures of landscapes and some of the post-processing. Every (even more advanced) photographers will definitely take something new away from WS.

The workshop with Marian was simply amazing! I received much more than I expected. Marian’s approach was fantastic, always willing to help and advise. The printed scripts got me, I didn’t expect them to be so comprehensive and have so many things in them.. I can’t say one bad word, an amazing three days that I will definitely like to repeat.
Ján Ilkovič
I signed up for the workshop mainly for the reasons of moving further photographically, to meet Slovak photographers whom I admire on Instagram, but mainly to learn everything about photo composition, post-processing and to win more with the photo, so that the result is really worth it. This not only came true for me, but in many ways exceeded my expectations, Maroš’s almost fatherly approach clarified many things for me and by completely sharing his know-how, he completely blew me away, because I am not used to such a thing from the Czech Republic… Simply the whole the workshop had a blast and I was definitely not with Maroš for the last time….a big thank you to everyone!!!
Zdeněk Hendrich
Hello, I signed up for the workshop at the last minute, but of course Maroš had no problem with it. I consider myself a slightly more advanced photographer, but I still learned a lot of new things, after all, we learn all our lives. If someone has a little knowledge of post-processing, then these WS are the right thing. I was especially attracted by the possibility of taking photos with Maroš, because I consider him one of the best photographers in Slovakia and I have to say that I got what I expected, thank you and I highly recommend it to both experienced and beginners.
Marek Kopnický
Hello… I recommend Maroš’s workshop to everyone who wants to learn something new. Naturally, humanely, but professionally, he will show everything he knows without hiding or hiding anything, which is not often seen in this industry… Natural atmosphere, tolerant approach to everyone, just the way it should be. I just recommend…
Jarino
I attended WS Ždiar with the aim of gaining new knowledge and mastering more demanding photography techniques, but above all I hoped to understand the post-process world, since as a self-taught person I came to a point where all the functions and techniques I knew were exhausted and my further progress was severely limited knowledge. Marián’s approach to WS and, above all, his sincere willingness to share not only his knowledge, but also his personal experiences and tricks gave me much more than I hoped for. In Ždiar, I survived two days of intensive absorption of theoretical and practical information, which thanks to clear and understandable scripts 100% I will translate it into my next progress – and I couldn’t get anything more from this course!

Hello… I took part in a photo workshop with Marián Kuric in Ždiar and I would like to say that I was very pleased with Marián’s professional and at the same time friendly approach, he had everything perfectly prepared and organized, we took photos outside and also took care of the post process, which I she was very happy as I wanted to learn more about photo editing and learn something new. For me, Marián is a photographer with a big heart and determination to share his experience, knowledge, skills, but also experiences, he explained everything to us in a very pleasant and friendly way. We spent a few nice days and learned a lot of new things. I met some nice new friends with the same interest. For those who want to improve themselves in landscape photography, I highly recommend participating in such a workshop.

I am very glad that I signed up for a workshop with Marián, perfect and responsible approach, great locations for photo shoots. The workshop gave me exactly what I needed, plus a great atmosphere and team, I can only recommend it.

I participated in the workshop in Ždiar and was extremely satisfied. I work as a portrait photographer, which is my livelihood, but my true passion lies in landscape photography. As a photographer, I had high expectations, and I can say without a doubt that they were exceeded. The entire workshop was exceptionally well-organized, from the accommodations to the teaching structure, and the choice of locations for our photography excursions was superb. I appreciated the friendly yet professional atmosphere throughout the workshop. Everyone had ample opportunity to ask questions, whether during the theoretical segments or the practical sessions while taking photos. The instructional materials we received were extensive and well-explained, with step-by-step guidance presented in a straightforward and even somewhat humorous manner. Most importantly, the content was practical and directly applicable to the needs of both photography and post-processing. It was simple, yet sensible, making it accessible to everyone. This experience undeniably propelled my skills forward, and I intend to apply the newfound knowledge to my portrait photography as well. I had the pleasure of meeting wonderful people during the workshop. Unfortunately, we didn’t have favorable weather conditions to fully utilize the ND filters we had at our disposal, but that’s all the more reason to eagerly anticipate the next workshop. In conclusion, I am thoroughly satisfied and would like to extend a heartfelt thank you! 😊

I have always been inspired by Marián’s photographs, especially his detailed and local work with light, so I signed up for the workshop and I must say that he fulfilled my expectations, in short, as they say, a lot of music for little money. And also a big bonus of the willingness to communicate and give advice online, after the workshop + SCRIPTS with detailed procedures + USB stick with the necessary data. Marian, thank you and I’m glad that you were willing to take your know-how further. I can only recommend.

I began following Marian’s work only recently when chance led me to discover his book online. Right away, I recognized that this photographer was none other than Mr. Photographer. When I had the opportunity to meet him on the hill, numerous questions began swirling in my mind. So, when he announced that a workshop was on the horizon, I didn’t hesitate for a moment. I knew it was an excellent opportunity to progress further. I believe it truly lived up to my expectations. For those who might be hesitating, I encourage you to go for it. The reviews from us, the participants of the first workshop, speak for themselves. I won’t delve into the emotions that have already been expressed here, but I can attest that it was indeed an incredible experience, and Marian captured it beautifully. Moreover, don’t be afraid to ask questions. Marian shared much more about his magic than we could have anticipated. I wish all of you good light and “for the delicate” moments. 😊

I signed up for Marian’s WS because his photos really appealed to me, the way he takes photos and processes them. My expectations were quite high and I have to say that the reality surpassed them. Marian had everything perfectly and precisely prepared. Even before the workshop itself, I asked if there would be scripts available, which we would then take home. Because it’s one thing to see some of the edits, but another to remember it and put it in the right context. The scripts are very detailed and you can see that he spent a lot of time preparing them. I really liked that Marian demonstrated everything in his published photos, i.e. he opened the PSB with the photo and all the layers with adjustments and we went through it step by step. We often got off topic, but even then Marian had no problem explaining everything until it was clear. Everything took place in a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The ascent to Velky Choc was the icing on the cake (even for a Czech tourist). In addition, a very good group of people who are equally passionate about photography and nature came together. I hope and believe that I will meet you all again 😉 For me, I can only recommend 1***.

The best and most effective Workshop I have ever attended! I have completed a course at the Central European House of Photography ws v (as a complete beginner with Jožek Sedlák and Rudolf Lendel) – it was very good and then a portrait in natural light AQT (Peter Brichta) and a Fantasy portrait (Karolína Ryvolová) and a portrait in AKF with ( Lukáš “Kenji” Vrábel) and in AKF also WS Photoshop with (Petra Baranovičová). They all gave me something, they were all good at something, but this one was the ultimate, the best and the most effective. The reason is, among other things, the scripts. When you leave WS and sit down at the computer, you will not remember how to do it, because you will receive in written form how to proceed with the adjustments. Which we saw on WS, step by step. You will also receive a USB key with Plug-ins (programs) that complement and in some ways are even better than already known software. The third thing, in addition to theory, you and the lecturer will “run” into the field, where each of you will be given a certain amount of time individually. I’m not even talking about the portfolio of this professional, who with feeling adds such accurate juice to the photos that you will also want me to take such photos and control such griffins. And what’s more, he is a rare person, full of humanity, humanity, and humor, until you won’t want to believe it. He will share everything he knows with others and with his own joy will pass it all on to you. I got to know his work through FB and other sites. I only met him personally at the course 08-10/03/2019 in Valaská Dubová. The accommodation is a little less luxurious, but it is enough for what we need it for, it served. Do not hesitate and sign up for Marián’s course. Moreover, we met so many people that we didn’t want to leave after the course. Absolute satisfaction.

Friends, it was an honor to meet you and spend such a wonderful weekend. Dear Marianko, this was my first photo workshop, I signed up as a beginner in both photo and post-processing. I found out right away that I had made the right choice for Your “school”, as You began to involve us in all Your procedures, secrets and magic No superficiality, selfishness, calculation, in short, a decent, honest and above all good guy. After all, much more experienced photographers with a rich and successful work confirmed it with their participation. You instilled in me the desire to learn and improve, for which the detailed and perfectly prepared textbook with step-by-step procedures that you gifted to everyone will definitely be helpful. A big thank you for me and I believe that we will meet again in this group at other workshops or photography in nature. In conclusion, I highly recommend those who desire knowledge in this area to participate.
