Every nature lover should see the Northern Lights at least once in their lifetime. Likewise, every landscape photographer should have at least one photo of it in his portfolio. Now you have an excellent opportunity to do so! Don't miss the photographic expedition "HUNT FOR THE POLAR Aurora", which will take place in a place where this rare phenomenon occurs really often - in the beautiful fjords of the Norwegian Lofoten Mountains. The Lofoten Islands are a place full of traditional fishing villages, majestic rock peaks rising straight out of the ocean and endless rocky beaches. Especially in winter, when the mountains and cliffs are covered in fresh snow, this place is a true paradise for the landscape photographer. In addition to photographing the Northern Lights, we will of course also focus on sunrises and sunsets - making this photo expedition an unforgettable experience for you! The expedition is designed for beginners as well as advanced landscape photographers who like to travel, explore new places and want to push their work a little further. During the expedition, you will be guided by two professional lecturers - thanks to this you will take away perfect photos and valuable new information from the expedition. The expedition is also suitable for all photographers who want to spend a pleasant time in a relaxed atmosphere with people with the same interests in the breathtaking surroundings of the Norwegian winter Lofoten.

What the price includes:
- car rental *
- refuelling throughout the expedition *
- hotel accommodation, always close to the locations where we will be shooting *
- lecturer available
- lectures, photo processing, complete know-how
* As I am not a travel agency, accommodation, car rental and petrol are not part of the services I offer. However, in order for us to be accommodated together, I will arrange all this for you, but only with your consent.
What is not included:
- Meals, drinks and souvenirs (Some accommodations seem to include breakfast in the price)
- Ticket /but I will help with it/
- Travel/accident insurance or costs related to unexpected events

Benefits of photo expedition:
- Getting to know excellent locations
- I have visited Lofoten many times, I know where to go and especially when to go
- I can personally attend to everyone, showing the procedures of photo processing
- Accommodation always in the hotel, no tents or mattresses, but a warm bed and shower
- Getting acquainted with the most interesting photolocals
- Easy accessibility to the shooting location
- Good friendly atmosphere
- Everyone gets rich photo scripts in digital form, it can’t happen that nobody remembers anything after returning from WS
- Video tutorials directly from the site. We’ll take a photo together and then process it, and you’ll take it all home in the form of a video tutorial

What do you need?
- willingness to learn new things
- good mood
- a camera of any brand /preferably, however, if it can shoot in RAW format/
- Replacement camera batteries
- wide-angle lens, longer glass /they are fine but not a requirement/, but definitely some lens is needed
- remote trigger
- a tripod would be useful
- suitable hiking warm clothing (DO NOT underestimate! Although Lofoten doesn’t get exceptionally cold, the frequent winds have a very cooling effect. Especially at night when taking a photo of the Northern Lights, when standing still we will feel that we are in an Arctic landscape)
- waterproof footwear (We recommend to pack cheap insulated rubber boots – they are an invaluable aid when taking photos on the beach / by the water)
- Headlamp
- backpack for carrying photo equipment/clothing
Please don’t underestimate the warm clothes. My experience is that when it’s uncomfortable, you don’t really want to take pictures, and that would be a shame 🙂

Places we will visit during the expedition
In the “sleeve” we have the most interesting photo-locations that can be found in the Lofoten area. Moreover, all these places are relatively close to where we will be staying. Thus, during the expedition we will be in the area only 15min to 1:30hr drive from our accommodation.
